Air Astana has announced that it will launch a new flight between Atyrau and Tbilisi three times a week from May 2025. This expansion is part of the airline‘s strategy to further expand its international route network.

Air Astana announced that from May 27, 2025, a new flight connection from Atyrau to Tbilisi will be launched, operating three times a week on Tuesday, Friday and Sunday. Departures are scheduled for 8 a.m., arriving in Tbilisi at 8:50 a.m. local time. This announcement reflects the airline‘s ambition to expand its connections and increase options for passengers.
Expansion of the Astana and Almaty route network
The airline explained that this new route, in addition to the existing key hubs in Astana and Almaty, is a significant step to strengthen Air Astana’s international reach. By offering a direct flight to Tbilisi, the Kazakh airline will improve connections to the Georgian capital, which is particularly advantageous in the summer months. Overall, the number of flights to Tbilisi is expected to increase up to 15 times a week in the summer months of 2025, with additional connections from Almaty and Astana.

Air Astana explained that Atyrau, a city in western Kazakhstan near the Caspian Sea, is becoming increasingly important as an international hub.
