Air France and KLM are expanding their route network in the winter flight schedule. Air France will serve 169 destinations in 73 countries, including new destinations such as Kilimanjaro, Salvador de Bahia, Manila, Malé, and Kiruna.
Africa: New destination Kilimanjaro
Air France announced it will expand its route network in Africa, offering three weekly flights to Kilimanjaro, Tanzania, starting November 18. This new route will be operated with an Airbus A350-900 and complements the existing connection to Zanzibar. Kilimanjaro will be Air France’s 26th destination in Africa. KLM plans daily flights to Lagos, Nigeria, for the winter and will increase capacity to Cape Town by two additional flights per week.
North America: Expansion of the offering
Air France is expanding its North American offering to 235 flights per week to 23 destinations. In the US, services to Denver and Phoenix will be increased to three flights per week each. KLM will serve 19 destinations in North America, with the new destination Portland, Oregon, served three times per week. Frequencies to San Francisco will also be increased to daily flights starting November 23.
South America: New destinations and increased frequencies
In South America, Air France is launching a new route to Salvador de Bahia, Brazil, which will be served three times a week with an Airbus A350-900 starting October 28. This will be the airline’s fifth Brazilian destination. In addition, frequencies to Rio de Janeiro and Fortaleza will be increased. KLM will offer daily connections to several South American cities, including Buenos Aires, Santiago de Chile, and Lima.
Asia: Slowly recovering capacity
Capacity to Asia has not yet fully recovered due to the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic and longer flight times due to the avoidance of Russia. Air France will fly three times a week to Manila, Philippines, starting December 7. KLM will complement this connection with four flights a week from Amsterdam Schiphol via Taipei to Manila. The Air France-KLM Group will thus offer daily flights to Manila.

Expansions in the Asian route network
Air France has announced that its Asian route network will include up to 15 flights per week to Tokyo-Haneda, Osaka, Ho Chi Minh City, Beijing, Shanghai, Hong Kong, Seoul, Bangkok, and Singapore. There will be two weekly flights to Malé in the Maldives during the holiday season. KLM will continue its current flight schedule, offering daily connections to Shanghai, Beijing, and Tokyo-Narita. There will be four weekly flights to Hong Kong. KLM will offer five and daily flights to Seoul and Bali, respectively, while Jakarta will be served six times a week with a stopover in Kuala Lumpur. Delhi, Mumbai, and Bengaluru in India will also see increased flight capacity.
Caribbean expansions
In the Caribbean, Air France is expanding its services to Saint Martin with two daily flights, while KLM is offering an additional connection to Paramaribo and will operate daily. Saint Maarten will be combined with Port of Spain, increasing the frequency to five times a week. During the Christmas and spring seasons, services to Curaçao will also be expanded. In addition, Dubai will be served daily, and a combined connection to Riyadh and Dammam will be offered six times a week.
Strengthening short- and medium-haul routes in Europe
Air France announces the opening of a new route to Kiruna, Sweden, and increases its services to Rovaniemi, Kittilä, and Tromsø. Through its cooperation with SAS, customers can now reach 33 new destinations in Northern Europe. During the holiday season, flights will also be available to existing summer destinations such as Tangier, Morocco. KLM is launching new connections to Billund, Belfast, Bilbao, Malaga, and Alicante, as well as increasing capacity to Bremen and Rovaniemi.
Winter schedule: Air France’s new La Première cabin
Air France will unveil a completely redesigned La Première cabin at the end of the year. This new cabin, which features five windows and is the largest of its kind, will be integrated into more aircraft. These suites will be introduced on some Boeing 777-300ER aircraft as early as the 2024/2025 winter season and will be available on routes to Abidjan, Dubai, Los Angeles, Miami, New York-JFK, San Francisco, Sao Paulo, Singapore, Tokyo-Haneda, and Washington. La Première customers have also been enjoying an exclusive travel experience at Paris-Charles de Gaulle Airport since July.
