Air France and KLM: Expansion of flight offerings
Air France offers up to 900 daily connections to nearly 190 destinations in 74 countries this summer. KLM flies to 161 destinations, with a four percent increase in seat capacity compared to the previous year. Challenges such as long delivery times for aircraft parts and a pilot shortage have led KLM to continue operating at approximately 90 percent of its intercontinental capacity.
Long-haul flights and new destinations
Air France is expanding its long-haul network, flying from Paris-Charles de Gaulle to Riyadh and Orlando starting in May 2025. An additional daily connection between Paris and New York will be introduced. The number of flights from Paris to Phoenix will increase, while the connection to Papeete will be offered daily. KLM is putting three new Boeing 787-10s into operation and will offer nonstop flights to San Diego starting in May.
Expansions in America and Africa
In the Americas, Air France is launching new flights to Salvador de Bahia in Brazil and increasing flights to Peru, Chile, and Rio de Janeiro. The Caribbean destination of Saint Martin will be served with up to eight weekly flights. In Africa, the airline is continuing flights to Kilimanjaro and increasing frequency to Brazzaville. KLM will offer daily flights to Tanzania starting in June.
New Asian destinations
Air France will operate three-times-weekly flights to Manila, Philippines. KLM will launch a new service to Hyderabad, India, starting in September and will fly to Osaka, Japan, up to five times weekly. These expansions demonstrate the airline’s commitment to further expanding the Asian market and offering travelers more choice.

It has expanded its service to popular Mediterranean destinations, with an eight percent capacity increase to Italy and a three percent increase to Spain. New routes and seasonal offers
In addition to its year-round routes, Air France-KLM also plans to operate 29 seasonal routes to destinations across Europe, including popular holiday destinations such as Palma de Mallorca, Ibiza, Rhodes, Heraklion, and Dubrovnik. KLM has added Ljubljana and Exeter to its schedule, with daily flights starting March 30. Biarritz will also be served daily during peak season and twice weekly during off-season.
Optimization of flights to Milan
KLM has decided to concentrate its flights to Milan this summer at Linate Airport, closer to the city center, and temporarily suspend connections to Malpensa. This decision is intended to improve the comfort and travel experience for all passengers while offering more efficient travel options. The deployment of new Airbus A321neo aircraft will also be increased to double fleet capacity and thus enable even more flights during the summer season.
