In 2024, around 1.9 million passengers used the airport, which corresponds to an increase of around twelve percent compared to 2023. In the previous year, the number of passengers rose by 21 percent to around 1.7 million. This consistent increase shows the airport’s popular choice among travelers.
Popular travel destinations from Hahn Airport
The five most popular destinations from Hahn Airport in 2024 included London-Stansted, the holiday island of Mallorca, Italy’s Catania, Tirana, the capital of Albania, and Spain‘s Alicante. These destinations demonstrate passengers’ growing preference for diverse European travel destinations. The diversity of destinations reflects passengers’ trust in the services offered by the airport.
Modernization measures for further improvement
Franke explained that the airport is prepared for further growth and is therefore investing in the restructuring and modernization of the terminal.
