Munich Airport‘s AirportAcademy is recognized as a new member of the ICAO’s TRAINAIR PLUS program. This award demonstrates the Academy’s commitment to quality aviation education and adherence to international standards. This membership was recently announced at the Global Implementation Support Symposium in Abu Dhabi.
Recognition by ICAO
The AirportAcademy at Munich Airport is now recognized as a member of the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO)’s prestigious TRAINAIR PLUS program. The certification was announced at the Global Implementation Support Symposium held in Abu Dhabi from February 10-12, 2025. This recognition underlines the Academy’s commitment to high quality aviation education and training by meeting the strict ICAO standards for competency-based training.
Advanced training programs
As a certified member of the TRAINAIR PLUS program, Munich Airport‘s AirportAcademy can now offer more than 300 ICAO standardized training packages (STPs). These packages cover various aviation topics including airport facilities, air traffic control services, aviation laws, management, safety and environmental and sustainability issues. Acceptance into this program promotes the quality and standardization of aviation education worldwide.
