Munich Airport has begun the new training year with a total of 106 new entrants. The trainees and dual-study students will receive high-quality training in over 20 different professions and degree programs.
Diverse training opportunities and study programs
This year, 62 young people are completing their training directly at Flughafen München GmbH (FMG), while 44 more are starting their careers at the airport’s subsidiaries. With the new intake, there are a total of 295 apprentices and dual-study students in over 20 different professions and degree programs within the FMG Group. The training opportunities cover a wide range, from IT and technology to security and safety, hospitality, retail, logistics, and commercial careers.
First experiences and optimal preparation
During their first few weeks on the job, the young talents gained valuable experience and were optimally prepared for their career entry through individual programs. Now they are about to embark on their first assignments in the airport’s various departments, where they can put the skills they have learned into practice.
Quality of training recognized nationwide
The high quality of Munich Airport‘s training programs is regularly confirmed in national studies. In recent surveys by Focus Money magazine, FMG was ranked among “Germany’s Best Training Companies” in the area of traffic and transport. This recognition underscores the airport’s commitment to training young talent.
Applications for the coming year and career orientation fair
Anyone interested in starting their career at Munich Airport next year can now apply online. The Berufsfit career fair on October 11 and 12, 2024, offers an ideal opportunity to get to know the airport atmosphere and the training team. The new trainees and dual-study students were welcomed by their trainers for a group photo. Jost Lammers, Chairman of the Management Board and Director of Human Resources, Dr. Robert Scharpf, Head of Group Human Resources at FMG, and Gerhard Holuba, Head of Group Training, officially welcomed the new talents.
