Discover Airlines announces the expansion of its long-haul service from Munich, with Calgary now a new destination in its flight schedule. The airline offers three weekly flights to the Canadian metropolis, which is considered an ideal starting point for adventures in the Rocky Mountains.
New destination: Calgary
Discover Airlines has announced Calgary as the newest addition to its long-haul flight schedule from Munich. Calgary is Canada‘s fourth-largest city and, thanks to its proximity to Banff National Park and the Rocky Mountains, offers a wide range of outdoor activities. Flights will depart from Munich three times a week at 1:25 p.m., allowing passengers flexible travel planning.
Supplement to the intercontinental base
With the launch of the Calgary flight, Discover Airlines has fully expanded its new intercontinental base at the Bavarian hub. Previously, new inaugural flights to Orlando and Windhoek were introduced to expand the airline‘s international reach. These additions underscore the airline’s focus on expanding into major vacation destinations worldwide.
Fleet and aircraft type
All new routes, including those to Calgary, Orlando, and Windhoek, will be operated with the Airbus A330. This modern aircraft choice supports the airline’s strategy of offering existing and future passengers a unique flight experience. Together with its existing routes, Discover Airlines currently operates a fleet of eight aircraft serving 32 different destinations, with a total of 80 weekly departures across various route categories.
